Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. Considered one of America's best tight ends He has the NFL record for having the highest number of receiving yards of all tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in all time for the amount of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez is a regular for FOX NFL KICKOFF the FOX's one-hour NFL pregame program that precedes FOX NFL Sunday. It airs each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
On the 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign to the Falcons for a 2-year, $14 million contract despite claiming that he would be retiring following the 2013 season. With the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez was the league's top player in receiving yards.
